The first signs of seepage will be in the form of dampness in the basement. This could be gone along with by the smell of mold and mildew. If the trouble is not fixed, it will worsen. As the freeze/thaw cycle of winter months and summer takes place, cracks as well as visible seepage into the basement may occur. Eventually, these splits become bigger. This results in a general weakening of architectural stability and prospective architectural failure.
